Gluten Free French Toast Sticks

Gluten Free French Toast Sticks are easy to make, loaded with cinnamon and so tasty! I served them with a homemade Maple Almond Butter Sauce.

What you need

cup unsweetened almond milk

egg nog

tsp ground cinnamon

tsp vanilla extract

tbsp coconut sugar

tbsp coconut oil

tbsp almond butter

tbsp unsweetened coconut milk

tbsp maple syrup
Instructions
0 First, make the Maple Almond Butter Sauce by placing the 3 ingredients into a small jar with a lid. Shake until combined. Set it aside. 1 Next, cut 4 slices of bread into sticks. 2 In a bowl, whisk together almond milk, egg, cinnamon, vanilla and coconut sugar. 3 Heat a pan on medium with coconut oil. 4 Dip each piece of bread in the egg mixture and place the bread into the hot pan to cook. Do not let the bread soak in the mixture for too long or it could fall apart. 5 Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side. 6 If the pan gets too hot and the French toast sticks are cooking too quickly, turn down the heat a bit. 7 Serve the Gluten Free French Toast Sticks with the Maple Almond Butter Sauce!View original recipe
